TORONTO, ON (May 4, 2023) — The Toronto Beaches announced today that the team will open the 2023 season playing home games at Delaney & O’Brien Arena in Pickering, Ont.
The team’s first three home games against the Whitby Warriors (May 18), Orangeville Northmen (May 21), and Brampton Excelsiors (May 25) will be played in Pickering while preparations are made to play the remainder of the season at Scarborough Centennial Arena.
Delaney & O’Brien Arena is the home of the Junior B West Durham Ironheads, an integral part of the Beaches’ organization. The venue also played host to the Beaches during the playoffs in 2022. The team was able to clinch its berth to its first-ever Minto Cup in Pickering.
The Beaches will open the season on the road against the Whitby Warriors on May 16 before their home opener on May 18, the second half of the home-and-home between the two teams.
