(TORONTO, ON) March 6, 2025 — The Toronto Beaches today announced that they have hired Michael Santos as an American Scout.
“We are very excited to welcome Michael to the Beaches organization,” Beaches Head Coach Reilly O’Connor He will be a great asset and add a lot of value in helping us maintain a strong connection to the states as well as a trusted source to bounce ideas off and talk lacrosse.”
The Beaches have a strong history of American talent that has come through the organization. Most notably, Casey Powell joined the Beaches ahead of making the jump to the National Lacrosse League before embarking on his Hall-of-Fame career.
Peyton Booth, a 2006-born forward, joined the Beaches in 2023 and has become an integral part of the Beaches’ offence over the past two summers. The team has also previously brought in five-star recruits in Leo Hoffman (Penn) and AJ Nikolic, who were both able to get exposure to the box game while playing high-level collegiate field lacrosse.
Most recently, Beaches graduate Alex Bean — who joined the team for the 2023 season — was selected 11th overall in the 2024 NLL Draft by the Georgia Swarm.
Santos has an extensive resume of working with top talent in America, most recently founding Honey National, a high-level club program consisting of players from all over the United States and Canada. He previously worked for Next Level Lacrosse and Eclipse Lacrosse Club. Santos also worked at the Winchendon School in Massachusetts.
