TORONTO, ON (April 27, 2026) — The Toronto Beaches today announced that the team has hired Jackson Nishimura as the newest member of the team’s coaching staff.
“Jackson is a big addition to our staff. He brings a great passion with him for the Beaches community, and his knowledge and ability to connect with our players is something I’m really looking forward to seeing,” Beaches Head Coach and General Manager Reilly O’Connor said. “We couldn’t be happier to add such a great human being to our organization.”
Nishimura, 28, is a Beaches resident and a graduate of the Beaches Jr A Lacrosse program, having played for the team from 2014-2018. He was also a captain with the Beaches during his stint with the club.
Over 62 career games with the Beaches, Nishimura tallied 14 goals and 30 points. He was selected in the second round (26th Overall) by the New England Black Wolves in the 2018 NLL Draft.
Nishimura is a seven-year National Lacrosse League veteran, having spent his entire career with the FireWolves’ organization (Formerly the NE Black Wolves).
In 18 outings this season with the FireWolves, Nishimura finished with six goals and 16 points in transition, along with 103 loose balls and 12 caused turnovers.
Across 88 career National Lacrosse League games, the defender has 21 goals and 39 assists for 60 points, as well as 488 loose balls, 26 blocks, and 47 caused turnovers.
